The comeback of Memphis Depay is getting closer. The 29-year-old forward made his appearance at Atlético Madrid's training on Monday.
After three days off, Atlético players were required to report back to Majadahonda Sports City, the club's training complex, on Monday. Among them was Memphis Depay, who hasn't played an official match for the fourth-ranked team in La Liga since September 24. Since the 3-1 win over Real Madrid, the forward has been out with a muscle injury.
Diego Simeone already indicated last week that the return of Memphis is approaching. The Argentine manager is looking forward to having the Dutchman, who had to miss the last seven league matches for Atlético, back in action. Memphis was one of the ten outfield players who participated in Monday's training session and then went into the gym.
It is not yet known if Memphis will be included in the match squad for the upcoming weekend. Atlético will host Real Mallorca on Saturday. Three days later, they face Feyenoord in De Kuip for the Champions League match.
