Brentford - Manchester City 1-0 Manchester City won the Premier League just a week ago, so there was nothing at stake for Pep Guardiola's team in the final round of matches. With an eye on the upcoming weeks, the Citizens didn't field their strongest lineup against Brentford, who have given many top clubs a tough time this season. Premier League top scorer Erling Haaland, for instance, started the match on the bench.

However, Nathan Aké did secure a starting spot, while Sergio Gómez, Rico Lewis, and Cole Palmer, some lesser-known names, also featured in the lineup. For much of the match at Brentford Community Stadium, it seemed that there would be no winner. However, in the dying moments, the home team confirmed their status by scoring the decisive goal, making it 1-0. Ethan Pinnock headed Brentford to victory.

The season is not yet over for Manchester City. The English champions will play the FA Cup final next week against Erik ten Hag's Manchester United, followed by the Champions League final against Internazionale.

Arsenal - Wolverhampton Wanderers 5-0 Arsenal was considered a favorite for the league title for a long time but succumbed to the pressure, ending the 2022/23 season as the runners-up. Against Wolverhampton Wanderers, the London club showcased their many qualities one last time. Thanks in part to two goals from the departing Granit Xhaka, they sent the visitors home with a resounding 5-0 defeat.
