With less than a month to go before Dani Alves' trial begins, in which he stands accused of sexually assaulting a woman in a nightclub restroom on December 30, 2022.

Neymar seems to be closely following the developments surrounding his compatriot and former Barcelona teammate. During a period when Alves' assets have been frozen by the Spanish legal authorities, UOL Esporte has reported that the Brazilian forward took action by sending 150,000 euros to Alves.

This financial contribution was specifically allocated to cover a 'damage mitigation indemnity,' potentially serving as a means to reduce the possible prison sentence should Alves be convicted.

Simultaneously, it's been revealed that the player from Al Hilal facilitated the services of Gustavo Xisto, a lawyer held in high trust by his father, to assist Alves in his legal defense. This move led to the dismissal of his former lawyer, Dinorah Santana, who is also his ex-wife.

Currently detained in Barcelona since January 20, 2023, Dani Alves is slated to face his trial between February 5 and 7. In the event of a conviction, he may be subject to a prison sentence ranging from eight to ten years. The legal proceedings and support from fellow Brazilian footballer Neymar underscore the gravity of the situation surrounding the former Barcelona star.
