Italian football dominates the European cup competitions this season. In each final, there will be an Italian team, and the Italian newspapers are making quite a fuss about it on Friday.

Internazionale will face Manchester City in the Champions League final, while the Europa League final will be contested between AS Roma and Sevilla. Fiorentina is upholding Italian pride in the Conference League, where they will play against West Ham United, the team that eliminated AZ.

"Triplete!" headlines Corriere dello Sport on Friday morning, referring to the three Italian clubs. La Gazzetta dello Sport goes a step further with "Finali d'Italia" (Italian finals) on their front page. Tuttosport takes a more modest approach, featuring Wojciech Szczęsny on their cover. The Polish goalkeeper was eliminated with Juventus by Sevilla, who are appearing in the Europa League final for the seventh time in eighteen years.

It is the first time since the 1997/1998 season that three Italian clubs have reached the final of a European cup tournament. Back then, the UEFA Cup final was contested between Internazionale and Lazio. The match ended 3-0 in favor of Inter, with goals from Ivan Zamorano, Javier Zanetti, and Ronaldo.

The Champions League final, held in Amsterdam, featured Real Madrid against Juventus. The Old Lady suffered a 1-0 defeat against the Royal Whites, with Pedrag Mijatović scoring the only goal.

Thanks to reaching the finals, Italy is also performing exceptionally well on this season's coefficient ranking. The Italians are only surpassed by England. The Netherlands is also doing quite well, thanks to the performances of teams like AZ and Feyenoord.
