On Wednesday, Al-Hilal officially announced the arrival of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, but they are certainly not done acquiring European top players. The Saudi Arabian club has approached Fulham for striker Aleksandar Mitrovic. However, The Cottagers have firmly rejected the initial offer.
The BBC reports that Al-Hilal has indicated its willingness to pay a little under thirty million euros for 28-year-old Mitrovic.
However, Fulham does not want to entertain any departure of its top scorer and has made this clear. At the moment, no further negotiations are taking place.
Mitrovic has been playing for Fulham since January 2018, with the Serbian international first on loan and then purchased for a little under 25 million euros from Newcastle United. He has scored 111 goals in 205 appearances for the club. Last season he scored fourteen times in the Premier League.
Al-Hilal has previously succeeded in acquiring Rúben Neves and Kalidou Koulibaly from England. Milinkovic-Savic joined the team on Wednesday, which is coached by Portuguese Jorge Jesus.
